Exploring looping animation and illustrated type, I created this piece to give myself space to think about gender, particularly the relationship between femininity and being female. I created a series of different color combos for this work, as I feel most close to the first one, but I realize the strong feelings that femininity and pink can bring out.

One of my favorite sayings for many years has been “I am a mosaic of everyone who has ever loved me”. I know I would not be the person I am today without help from those who have cared for me over the years. I walk with treasures of all the friends, family, aquaintances, and strangers I’ve met and I am forever thankful for all the love I have been given in my life. <3
