Like most people, I am a consistent overworker. I know I am capable of so much, and there is so much that I want to achieve in life, but I sometimes need the reminder that I can take a break and ask for help. I created this piece out of frustration in response to burnout after I had committed to too many things. It serves as a reminder to myself and others that there’s power in creating boundaries.

Mock posters for the 2021 Fast Company Innovation Festival, highlighting three sessions in a lecture series entitled “Community Counts”. I enjoyed playing around with the type, making the letterforms reminiscient of subway lines or maps.

A series of five spot illustrations to accompany an article from Frankie Magazine on different ways to be kind to yourself. I focused on a limited color palette and different skin tones. I also designed a mock layout for the magazine article including my illustrations.

Exploring looping animation and illustrated type, I created this piece to give myself space to think about gender, particularly the relationship between femininity and being female. I created a series of different color combos for this work, as I feel most close to the first one, but I realize the strong feelings that femininity and pink can bring out.

One of my favorite sayings for many years has been “I am a mosaic of everyone who has ever loved me”. I know I would not be the person I am today without help from those who have cared for me over the years. I walk with treasures of all the friends, family, aquaintances, and strangers I’ve met and I am forever thankful for all the love I have been given in my life. <3
